  Ray Turnure, MD

  Medical Director

  Dr. Turnure received his medical degree and did his residency training at Loma Linda University in Southern California. He also served as Chief Resident while completing his residency in Family Medicine. Before starting Turnure Medical Group he worked as an Associate Clinical Professor at the UC Davis/Sutter Residency Program. He is double boarded in both Family and Obesity Medicine. In addition to the broad spectrum of Family Medicine, Dr. Turnure is actively involved in researching the most effective techniques and modalities available in cosmetic medicine, medical weight loss and nutrition. His love for education always finds him continuing to learn new treatments in the field. He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Obesity Medicine Association as well as the Christian Medical & Dental Society. Dr. Turnure enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his 3 daughters, grandson and wife. He enjoys fishing, hunting, boating, snow skiing and running. He did his first marathon in 2012. He and Mrs. Turnure are also very involved in leadership in the community and at Destiny Christian Church.

  Camie Turnure

  Spa Director

  Camie met Dr. Turnure her freshman year at Vanguard University in Southern California. They graduated together in 1988 where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in English. After graduation she started her own insurance business. While this career supported the family during medical school it also gave her the experience needed to help him open his medical practice in 2000. She became passionate about medicine when she was diagnosed with Lupus in 1997 after the loss of her son in pregnancy. Her experience of pain has given her compassion and opportunity to help others going through similar situations. She and Dr. Turnure work well as a team. He does the medical part and her great attention to detail keeps the Spa running smoothly as well as keeping it beautifully decorated. They both love people and helping them is what they do best. Camie is an avid snow skier, loves to garden and enjoys boating and hiking with their growing family. She and Dr. Turnure have two daughters and are grandparents to boys. She also has been involved with mentoring moms because she knows that every mom needs guidance and support.

  Ashley Lewis

  Spa Manager & Coolsculpting® Technician

  Ashley has been with La Bella Vita since its inception, driven by her lifelong interest and love of medicine. As a young girl she was often caught in her dad’s library browsing through his Dermatology books, everything “skin” intrigued her. She is known for her warm personality that makes patients feel right at home and part of the La Bella Vita family. As a manager, she is supportive, encouraging, and loyal to her staff. She has the gift of teaching and helping others grow in their skills. She ensures that the practice runs smoothly and aims to help patients look and feel their best. Aside from being the Spa Manager, she is also a Master Certified Technician of Coolsculpting®. She is married to her high school sweetheart and the proud mother of two beautiful children and two adorable pups. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the Farmer’s Market (coffee in hand), taking her children to the park, and enjoying the outdoors at the family cabin at the lake. She also plays the piano, teaches voice lessons and loves cooking, especially sour dough bread.

  Valerie Astorga

  Registered Nurse

  Valerie Astorga has been a Registered Nurse since 2005. She has had a heart for the medical field since she was a little girl. She received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Sacramento State and then went on to get her RN from American River College. After receiving her RN, she started working in a fast-paced cardiac ward helping patients recover after open heart surgery. Valerie has always had a love for aesthetics and loves helping to make people be the best version of themselves. She has 3 children and loves all things outdoors. You can often find her hiking a trail with friends, at the gym, or paddle boarding in Tahoe.
